So I'm sitting in the river at the Roost, All I can hear is the water as it rushes all around me, washing the sweat and road grime off from the days ride. Just me in the midst of this paradise of sorts, alone with my thoughts. "Man it just doesn't get much better than this!'' That's all my mind could surmise...No presidential bull, no mortgage, car payment......nothing. I couldn't get past the serenity of this place called the Roost. I had ridden almost a thousand miles to get to the Roost this year. Snaking my way across the South on the two lanes, avoiding the big cities and super slabs. I rode the Natchez Trace again. Well we saddled up the bike at the last minute and headed to surprise the crew at the bash and had a great time meeting all.....on the way home is where the story get interesting. We headed back towards Memphis to a chopperhedz house that had mentioned that he might want to sell his chopper. He hadn't ridden it in a while and he really could use the Money to help ends meet....tis the sign of the times. Anyway I got the bike and had to rent a budget truck to get both bikes back to Knoxville. Man I should have known it was going to be one of those trips. We had just hauled a friends shit from Houston to Maryland in a U-haul, and along the way we came across three drug intervention check points or focus areas anyway.
